In addition our primary task of collecting and preserving Greenlandic literature, Groenlandica is responsible for a number of other tasks.
One of these tasks is assuming the role of research library for Arctic issues and subjects of significance to Greenland. Within this field, questions may be asked to the library. This may be done either during library opening hours or electronically.
In addition to our own collection, the University Library collection is also available at the library. These books can only be borrowed by students, lecturers and staff at Ilimmarfik, but may be used on site by the general public during opening hours.
Furthermore, the parish registers of the Greenland National Archives can be studied at the library.
